Deep in the jungles of Cambodia lies the biggest religious monument in the world - Angkor Wat. But this is just one many temples in the region known as Angkor.

  • Where are they all: The most spectacular are around the ancient capital of Angkor near Siem Reap town. Others can be found elsewhere in Cambodia, southern Laos and central Thailand
  • Discovered: Frenchman Henry Mouhot re-discovered them in 1860
