Angkor Thom

Angkor Thom - The Great City. Inside the 12 km (7.6 miles) of perimeter wall lie a collection of temples making up the last capital of Angkor. Each entrance has an impressive causeway and gopura (gateway), the Bayon at the centre has 54 towers each with 4 carved faces of the king as well as galleries of bas-reliefs. Huge terraces; the Terrace of the Leper King and the Terrace of the Elephants stand in front of the Royal Palace and the massive Baphuon temples. Angkor Thom is one of the the must sees at Angkor.
